Huntingtion Library Field Trip

 

The children are introduced to art using the basic concepts of line, shape, color, and texture. There is a fun hands-on activity, using colored pipe cleaners at the end of the lesson that re-inforces all four attributes. The Scott Gallery of American Art provides our students with historic and beatifully rendered examples of paintings to exemplify these four pillars of art criticism.
