Class of 2008-2009

Welcome new fifth grade students!

By now you have checked the posted class lists and have discovered you are a member of room 13. You are in for a great year! We will learn about space, chemestry, human body systems, and weather in science. Fifth grade history is all about the formation of this great nation we live in. You will read more than you ever have and sharpen your writing skills. In math we will learn about decimals, fraction, percents, geometry, etc..

All the supplies you need for class have been provided for you. Please do not bring in lots of supplies as there is little place to put them. I have stocked each desk with a pencil, pen, 3-ring binder, pencil cup, and crayons. There are plenty of markers and colored pencils to share.

The most important math skill you can have in fifth grade is to know your multiplication facts really well. If you are still not familiar with these facts, please practice them every day until mastered.

I look forward to meeting all of you Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. We are going to have a fantastic year!
