Hello! My name is Judi Roberts.
I teach special education to students with learning difficulties.
The wonderful paraprofessional with whom I work is Veronica Jurado.
Together we strive to provide a classroom environment of learning
with the objective of challenging your child to perform to the best
of his or her ability. We have tried to establish many daily routines
which enable all of us in room 26 to settle into expected work patterns.
Humor and caring are as much an element of each day as is the routine.
I am in my 19th year of teaching
special education. Prior to teaching, I was a social worker for the
County of Los Angeles working with children who were dependents of
the court. I received my Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from
Hayward State University. After the luxury of being a stay-at-home
mom until my children were in school, I returned to school receiving
my multiple subject teaching credential from Cal Poly Pomona. My credential
in Special Education within the authorized field of Learning Handicapped
was also granted through Cal Poly Pomona.
My three grown children, all of whom attended
Chaparral Elementary, El Roble and Claremont High School live in San
Diego.
