Dear Students,

Science Fair Time is here again! Projects can be presented in class, and displayed the following day, in the Multipurpose Room. Classes will have an opportunity to walk through the fair during school.

Each year, the projects submitted seem to get better. We are very proud of the effort you put into this project to make the fair successful and rewarding! We can hardly wait to se your wonderful projects.

EVERY FOURTH GRADE STUDENT is required to do a project and research report. Primary students may enter an individual or class project.

REQUIREMENTS for Science Project:

1. Science Project Plan completed, turned in to teacher, and signed by parent.
2. A one page summary of the research report to include:
• Title of the project
• Purpose - what you wanted to find out.
• Hypothesis - what you thought would happen.
• Procedure - what you did, materials used, who helped you.
• Pictures and drawings.
• Results - what happened, charts, tables.
• Conclusions - what you learned.
3. Display Board (presentation board) may display all of the above information.

***Projects requiring electrical outlets must be approved in advance by teachers.

Students may choose to do a biography of a scientist or a research report on a science-related subject, instead of the traditional science project.
