Hi, my name is Michele Andrade. Let me tell you a little about my professional background.
I graduated from San Diego State with a Bachelors Degree in Liberal Studies in 1986. I continued
my education and received a Master of Science Degree with a minor in Education from California State
University, Fullerton in 1993. In November of 2003, I received my National Board Certification. I began
teaching in 1989 and I have taught at Chaparral Elementary for seventeen years. That concludes the cut and
dry of my professional background. Now you get to meet the real person!
First of all I want to say that I LOVE TEACHING! I think that I have the best job in the world. I look
forward each morning to the smiling faces that greet me. I look forward to all the challenges and triumphs
that my day brings. I can honestly say that I love my job. I am fortunate to be working at an outstanding
school where the staff becomes family, the parents are supportive, the principal is the best, and the students
are enthusiastic and wonderful.
I do have a life outside of school and that includes my loving family. My husband Chris and I are raising four
beautiful children. My son Todd is 21 and my daughter Nicole is 23. My stepdaughter Emily is 22 and my other
stepdaughter Lauren is 18. They make me very happy and proud to be a mom. We love to do many things as a family.
We ride dirt bikes in the local deserts and we love to camp at the beach. We just enjoy
eachother’s company and the special times we have.
Finally you get the basics. My favorite color is yellow. I love Mexican food. I do not drink coffee because I have
enough energy without it! I listen to country music. You will probably find me in jeans rather than a dress. I love
to read. I love to work in my yard. I do not know a lot about computers because I rather be playing outside than
sitting behind a computer screen. Lastly...My glass is always half full instead of half empty. |
